The Albergue San José is a Catholic Institution founded by The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Lagos de Moreno since September 2000 and sustained by many benefactors and volunteers.

Since many years the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was seeking how to take care of the needy children of Lagos de Moreno, with a help of the many volunteers and benefactors started the construction of the Albergue San José, and three years later was finished.

 The ministry of the religious community of “Los hijos de María Inmaculada, Pavonianos” is to take care of this kind of children, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul commends this work to the religious community.

The Religious Community of “Los hijos de María Inmaculada, Pavonianos” assists the Albergue since June 3rd.  2004.

The Pavonian community, the educational community and the volunteers are the team that assist the children with great affection and love in the Albergue  San José.
